HOWDEN TURBO GmbH in Frankenthal (ex KK&K) has an international reputation as a premium manufacturer of centrifugal compressors. HOWDEN TURBO - Frankenthal has been manufacturing compressors since 1905. They can offer to customers a wide range of compressors with medium and high pressure increases, solid fabrication, high efficiency and low power consumption.

The main HOWDEN TURBO – Frankenthal's compressor applications are: petrochemical plants and refineries (SRU, evaporation), chemical plants (sulphuric acid, formaldehyde, evaporation and so on..), metallurgical plants (sulphuric acid, converter).

SF (ex SFO/SFP) Compressor

Single-stage centrifugal compressors with semi-open overhung impeller.
- Flows from 15.000 to 600.000 m3/h
- Pressure ratio up to 3,5
- Impeller diameter up to 2240 mm
- Driven by motor or steam turbine

SL Compressors

Single-stage centrifugal compressors with semi-open impeller, with radial vanes. The impeller is mounted between 2 bearings. Mainly used for coke gas.
- Flow from 15.000 to 400.000 m3/h
- Pressure ratio up to 1,5
- Impeller diameter up to 1800 mm
- Driven by motor or steam turbine

R Compressor (ex Schiele)

Single stage turbo blower with closed-type impeller, suitable for various applications.
- Flows from 600 to 360.000 m3/h
- Pressure ratio up to 1,7
- Impeller diameter up to 2240 mm
- Driven by motor or steam turbine

SFG Compressor

(ex SNFG, SFOG, SFPG)

Integrally geared turbo compressors with semi-open overhung impeller. The impeller is mounted directly onto the high-speed shaft of the gearbox.
- Flow from 5.000 to 300.000 m3/h
- Pressure ratio up to 3,5
- Impeller diameter up to 1120 mm
- Driven by motor or steam turbine

ST Compressor

Integral turbo compressor / steam turbine-units with single shaft. The compact design ensures low steam consumption, high efficiency and min space.
- Flow from 5.000 to 150.000 m3/h
- Pressure ratio up to 3,5
- Impeller diameter up to 900 mm
- Driven by steam turbine
